DESCRIPTION: APW - Waltham, Riverside Maximus with rare circular damascene, 23J, 16S, 14K gold OF Robert & Foster case, gold cuvette with 1904 presentation, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel, circular pattern nickel damascene, s#17009731. Gross weight of assembled watch 56.0 dwt (87.1 g). The circular pattern damascene of the present watch is quite rare among Riverside Maximus grade production, being seen primarily among examples that also have the feature of a winding indicator. Among Riverside Maximus without winding indicator we have seen only a small handful of examples such as this that were finished with circular damascene. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO...
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, near mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces with few minimal micro-fine scratches, regulator spring with some very small specks of oxide; excellent dial with only a faint hl below seconds-register near 6; case shows little wear, mild ding on band at 5 and few very mild dings elsewhere on band, no dents; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
